HOW TO GET HERE
Public Transport
From Termini Train Station: Exit the station into Piazza dei Cinquecento. Take Bus H – (Dei Capasso) and alight at the 4th stop – PIAZZA MONTE SAVELLO and continue on foot for another 200 metres. Bus H departs every 12 minutes.
From Ostiense Train Station: Exit the station into Via della Stazione Ostiense and walk 50 metres to the OSTIENSE/MATTEUCCI bus stop. Take Bus 23 (CLODIO) and alight at the 7th stop – PIAZZA MONTE SAVELLO and continue on foot for another 200 metres. Bus 23 (CLODIO) departs every 10 minutes.
From Metro A - Ottaviano: From the Ottaviano Metro station walk 350 metres to the Leone IV bus stop. Take Bus 23 (PINCHERLE/PARRAVANO) and alight at the 10th stop – ALBERTESCHI and continue on foot for another 200 metres. Bus 23 (PINCHERLE/PARRAVANO) departs every 12 minutes.
By Car
From Termini Train Station: Turn left into Via Cavour and continue for 1.4 km. Turn left into Via dei Fori Imperiali then right into Piazza Venezia. Turn right into Via di San Marco and then left into Via di San Venanzio. Once in Piazza d’Aracoeli, turn right into Via del Teatro di Marcello. Turn right into Via del Foro Olitorio and right again into Lungotevere dei Pierleoni. Parking is available along the road which follows the Tiber River (Lungotevere) and from there it is walking distance to L’Isola Tiberina (Tiber Island).
On Foot
From Termini Train Station: Distance – 2.9 km. Turn left into Via Cavour and continue for 1.4 km. Turn left into Via dei Fori Imperiali and continue until you reach Piazza Venezia and Via San Marco. Turn left into Via del Teatro di Marcello, then right into Via del Foro Olitorio. Turn right into Lungotevere de Pierleoni and then left onto Ponte Fabricio (Fabricio Bridge).
From Ostiense Train Station: Distance – 2.4 km. Turn left into Piazzale dei Partigiani. Follow Viale delle Cave Ardeatine and then enter Piazzale Ostiense. Continue along Via Raffaele Persichetti, Via Marmorata, Via Piazza dell’Emporio and Ponte Sublicio (Sublicio Bridge). Turn left onto Ponte Cestio (Cestio Bridge).
From St. Peter’s Square (Piazza San Pietro): Distance – 2.5 km. Follow Largo degli Alicorni turning left into Borgo Santo Spirito, then right into Largo Ildebrando Gregori. Continue along Via dei Penitenzieri, into Via di Porta Santo Spirito and then into Piazza della Rovere. Continue along Lungotevere della Farnesina and then along Lungotevere Raffaello Sanzio followed by Lungotevere degli Anguillara. Turn left onto Ponte Cestio (Cestio Bridge). NB: Lungotevere is the name given to the road which follows the Tiber River.
By Plane
From Fiumicino (Leonardo da Vinci airport): Take the train to Trastevere Station and from there take Tram 8 (ARGENTINA) and alight at the 6th stop – BELLI). Walk 250 metres until you reach Piazza in Piscinula, number 13 – arriving at Isola Tiberina, Isola del Cinema.
